The story of these clubs is not membership — it is what I did inside them. Listed from earliest to latest by when I first joined. For my external environmental work with Threco, see the Threco page.
I joined Helios in Grade 7 not knowing much about coding — just curious about how things worked. Helios is where that curiosity turned into a real skill. Through the club I explored programming seriously for the first time and developed a genuine love for building things. That spark became Hardware Decoded, BrandSnap, PhishSentinel, and every web project since.
In Grade 12 I was appointed Head of Department for Web Development — organising events, workshops, and sessions for the club. I plan activities, mentor members on front-end and back-end skills, and I'm the person juniors come to when they want to understand how websites are actually built.
Chess started at age 7, watching my father and sister play. During COVID in Grade 7 I discovered Lichess and Chess.com and started practising every day — openings, endgames, tactics puzzles, five or six games daily. After five months I beat my father for the first time. When school reopened I joined the Chess Club and became the chess person of the grade, competing in individual competitions and winning two gold medals.
I was an active Chess Club member through Grade 10. I still play regularly — it's what I reach for when I need a break from a deadline or a debugging session. Some things stay with you past the formal membership.
I joined the AI Club in Grade 9 when AI wasn't yet the defining technology it is today — I was just curious about how it worked. Two years of foundations: training data, neural networks, how models actually learn. Those two years directly shaped the Pickle.AI internship and everything AI-related I've built since.
Once I truly understood a maths concept, solving problems became genuinely enjoyable. As OC from Grade 11 I help plan competitions and sessions that show younger students what mathematics feels like when it clicks.
Antariksh (Hindi for "space") is the school's space and astronomy club. As OC I help organise events and workshops around space science and exploration.
I joined the Environmental Club in Grade 11 and immediately used it to expand Battery Bin — finding students who cared about sustainability and would show up to collect batteries and spread the word. The standout moment was Urja — the school science festival: 650+ visitors, 60 activity sheets completed, 16 batteries collected on a single day. The club made me OC in Grade 12 — not because of time served, but because of what I'd delivered.
