Engineering roots
since Grade 2.

My engineering foundations go back to Grade 2. Each workshop here built on what came before. Listed chronologically from earliest to most recent.

School Robotics — the origin

Robotics was a regular school activity from Grade 2 — not a one-off event but a consistent, recurring engagement with how machines move and respond to instructions. The direct ancestor of every engineering project that followed.

EV3 Robotics Summer Camp — Robo Club

LEGO EV3 autonomous robotics: sensor integration, line-following algorithms, obstacle avoidance, and iterative mechanical design. By Grade 8 this was a natural next step — robotics had been a school activity since Grade 2, and this camp formalised and deepened that engineering instinct.

HPAIR Summer Leadership Workshop

Harvard Political Asian Review summer leadership programme — leadership development, policy thinking, cross-cultural collaboration, and structured public discourse. My earliest formal leadership training and the first time I engaged with policy-level thinking about systemic problems.

Drone Building Workshop

Full hardware build from scratch: frame assembly, motor selection, ESC programming, flight controller setup, Betaflight configuration, and PID tuning. Supervised test flying. The skills I built here applied directly to placing 3rd in the school drone race that followed.
